Sheep From Goats

"He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats." Matthew 25:32

  • The Charlie Kirk memorial was a big tent revival. Many Christians in attendance testified that they could feel the Holy Spirit move. You could even feel it through the television. This big tent revival memorial service proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus to more people at any one time than any event in history. Between the football stadium and nearby arena that was used as overflow, about 90,000 were in attendance live; in addition to that—and perhaps most staggering—over 100 millions people worldwide watched it on television and online. Many people were saved. This has clearly kicked off a revival in America, and possibly across the globe.

Some “on the Left”—whether news media, Democrat politicians, comedians, social media influencers, or just regular Democrat voters—have been left puzzled and fearful. They don’t understand it, and they didn’t like it. That’s not surprising. We’re not of this world (John 17:6-19), so the things of God are confounding to the world. Those who experienced fear over the memorial service demonstrate clearly where demonic powers have found a home (2 Timothy 1:7, Ephesians 6:12). There’s a separation happening: sheep from goats, wheat from chaff (Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 3:12, Luke 3:17). If you are unsure who are the sheep and who are the goats, the response to Charlie Kirk’s memorial is an obvious indication. If you felt the Spirit of God move: you are a sheep (John 10:14). If you felt fear: you are a goat. It’s getting harder and harder to ride the fence. It’s getting harder and harder to claim ignorance. The divide will continue, and you must choose your side (Joshua 24:15).

There are only two eternal options: eternal grace or eternal justice. Eternal grace comes with eternal peace, while eternal justice comes with eternal regret. Every single human since Adam and Eve were born under the eternal justice curse; however, Jesus Christ died and rose again to receive our justice on our behalf, offering eternal forgiveness, which is grace (an underserved free gift). We must choose that gift. Those who choose it choose life; those who reject it choose the wages of their sins (Romans 6:23).

My prayer is that those who are currently living in darkness under the curse of justice would discover and accept the eternal grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). There is a vast darkness that has been covering America and much of the world, but dawn has broke, and light is now pouring across the land. The harvest is ready (John 4:35). We need to speak the truth boldly, and we must act with love. We all must do our part to shine God’s light, because light chases away darkness.

  • I was right.

Last Friday I said, “Jimmy Kimmel hasn’t actually been fired, only temporally and indefinitely suspended, which means that he could resume his show at any time, presumably once the heat dies down over his words.” Now, it looks like his “indefinite suspension” will end tomorrow, as he returns to ABC after only a very short suspension.

This is not surprising. All of the clowns who claimed that this was an assault on free speech (even though it wasn’t; it was clearly just mild repercussions from his employer for making false and disgusting comments) made a loud noise that ABC/Disney was inevitably going to listen to. Why inevitably? Because ABC/Disney agrees with these people. They don’t care about truth, only politics. This was never about the 1st Amendment, but the defense of hate against Charlie Kirk. They lied about Kirk and defamed him, someone acted on those lies, they celebrated the evil act, and they continue to lie about Kirk. Sick! ABC/Disney is simply saying that such behavior is perfectly acceptable in their books, and their halfhearted punishment to Kimmel was lip-service only.

But I don’t think they realize what they’ve done. ABC/Disney just undermined the entire argument that Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension was a political assault on free speech. If it were, he would not be on the air tomorrow. They will celebrate it as a victory, but it is not. People will instinctively understand that the whole premise of their argument was a lie, because it’s clearly so. It will be obvious for all to see, as plain as the sky is blue. Jimmy Kimmel will himself, by virtue of being on the air tomorrow night, demonstrate that he was not the victim of a free speech assault, and all of the people who claimed he was are completely dishonest or just plain ignorant (it’s one or the other, there are no other possibilities). It’s a trap they laid for themselves and they fell right into it.

What should be done about it? My guess is that you already don’t watch Jimmy Kimmel or ABC (if you do, now would be a good time to stop). But you probably do have a Disney+ subscription, so consider cancelling it—even some people “on the Left” are doing that because they realize just how bad this is. Don’t watch Disney movies in the theater for awhile. Don’t visit Disneyland for awhile. Simply put, stop giving your money to Disney. If I were an ABC affiliate, I would not air Jimmy Kimmel. The local affiliate who demanded that Kimmel apologize and donate money to Turning Point USA: stay true to your words. Be serious, and refuse to air his show. Beyond that, no matter who you are, voice your opinion that Jimmy Kimmel should apologize for his on-air bold faced lie, and voice that his comment and those like it are not appreciated or tolerated by a civil society. Those who tolerate, defend and support those comments are not civil people, full stop. They are not civil, and their violent behavior, threats of violence, defense of violence, and celebrations of violence demonstrate it.

The time for debate has ended. We had the free marketplace of ideas, but it was shot up when they assassinated Charlie Kirk. That’s where debate takes place, but “the Left” literally killed it with a gun and bullet, then they defended that evil action and even celebrated it. We can’t have debate until order has been restored to the marketplace. We can, however, speak boldly of the truth and expose the lies—much more boldly than ever before. It’s no longer “we need to win them over”; it’s: evil is not acceptable, and we will ensure—as patriots and Christians—that good defeats evil. Good will defeat evil.

Earlier today I wrote that there is a divide happening, and it’s a separation between sheep and goats, wheat and chaff (Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 3:12, Luke 3:17). This separation is a choice between eternal grace and eternal justice. There’s no other option: it’s one or the other. We don’t want anyone to choose the latter because it comes with eternal regret. We want and pray for everyone to choose eternal grace, including Charlie Kirk’s killer. Including Jimmy Kimmel and everyone who has celebrated Charlie’s murder. That’s our deep desire. Speaking truth is speaking love, and we will show great love in the face of tremendous evil. As this separation continues, you will find yourself surrounded by either sheep or goats. If you are unsure which group you are in, look around you. It’s not too late to choose Jesus—He desperately desires to be your Good Shepherd (John 10:14-16).

  • I watched the Charlie Kirk memorial service on YouTube yesterday. It was a moving tribute, but more than that it was evangelism. It was like a Billy Graham revival for our time. The Gospel was boldly proclaimed. The name of Jesus was freely spoken. Yes, by a pastor briefly. Yes, by Turning Point USA employees. But also by “Right wing” media personalities and mostly by Republican politicians. Even a couple of people who were Democrats just two years ago. A significant number of attendees surrendered in faith to God, and gave their life to the Lord, right there in the stadium. This is something that I never thought I’d see. It was a blessing for this country. It was God answering the many prayers of His people. It was a miracle.

In my very first post, I mentioned that the reason I named this website Sheep From Goats is because I believe we are seeing a fulfillment of Matthew 25:31-46. I don’t know if the Son of Man is immanently returning in His glory or not, but the growing divide in this country (and maybe the world) is a separation: sheep on one side, goats on the other. Matthew 3:12 and Luke 3:17 also talk similarly of wheat being separated from chaff. We see this separation happening politically, socially, and even in the church. Be careful which side you are on, and be ready for Christ’s return.

This isn’t a political thing, although it greatly affects politics. God isn’t a Republican or Democrats. This divide is spiritual. This was said at Charlie’s memorial, and it sums it up so succinctly: Your choice is eternal grace or eternal justice. It’s one or the other. That’s the divide—the sheep and goats; the wheat and chaff. Do you choose God’s grace made possible by Jesus’ death and resurrection? Or do you reject God’s grace, and choose justice instead?

A lot of people “on the Left” are choosing eternal justice. You can tell by their constant lies and evil actions. A lot of people “on the Right” are choosing eternal grace, and the big tent revival that was Charlie’s memorial service demonstrates that quite well. But I want to emphasize that this isn’t a “right versus left” issue; it is grace versus justice. What we want is for everyone to choose grace, no matter your politics or any other aspect of your background. Charlie’s widow, Erika, publicly proclaimed her forgiveness for her husband’s assassin. God’s grace is strong enough that even the shooter can receive it, and his sins can be forgiven. God’s grace is sufficient for everyone. Everyone.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37). In the wake of Charlie’s murder, we’re seeing a lot more workers stand up and say, “Here I am, send me.” (Isaiah 6:8). We are on the precipice of a great awakening. We are also at a time when there are no excuses. You cannot claim ignorance. You can’t say that you didn’t know or that you misunderstood. There are two sides. Is your choice God and his grace? Is your choice satan and his lies? It’s one or the other. You can see the divide. You can clearly see people make their choice. The sheep are being separated from the goats. Choose this day whom you will serve (Joshua 24:15).

  • Jimmy Kimmel is not a free speech martyr. It’s absolutely disgusting, evil and vile that he is being turned not just into a victim, but into the liberal’s Charlie Kirk. It’s not the same, not even remotely so. This is a massively dishonest campaign, and loudly displays for the whole world to see the wicked hearts of those making such claims.

The truth—speaking the truth is such an important aspect of this website, and conservatism in general—is that Kimmel was canceled due to three things: low-ratings, an offensive and dishonest remark, and an unwillingness to apologize for that remark. He hasn’t actually been fired, only temporally and indefinitely suspended, which means that he could resume his show at any time, presumably once the heat dies down over his words. This didn’t happen because of Trump or anyone in his administration, either. Yes, Jimmy Kimmel probably broke an FCC rule, which might have (but probably didn’t) put his employer in a potential position to lose their license to broadcast or maybe fined, but Kimmel was not suspended because of that.

ABC broadcasters are actually local affiliates. Like when you go to McDonald’s, that location is not owned by the corporation. It’s locally owned and operated by a franchisee. Local affiliates own and run the local TV stations. It’s those local affiliates who demanded from ABC and Disney that Kimmel be pulled off the air. Why? Because his ratings were already low, which hurts their revenue opportunities. Because they were offended by what he said, and I’m sure their audience and customers (advertisers) voiced their opinions, too. The largest ABC affiliate (by number of stations) told ABC that if Kimmel doesn’t apologize and pledge a donation to Turning Point USA, they would not air his show. Kimmel refused to apologize, and even indicated that he would double-down on his rhetoric on the next show. That’s why he was suspended (not even fired).

“The Left” is now trying to turn Jimmy Kimmel into Charlie Kirk. They minimized or downright mocked Charlie Kirk’s assassination. They spread untrue defamatory comments about him, and took his statements out of context to make it appear he said the opposite of what he meant. He can’t even defend himself because he’s dead. It’s disgusting and evil. Charlie Kirk died for exercising his 1st Amendment free speech. He was shot in the neck in front of his family and in front of a large crowd where all he was doing was having conversations. They didn’t like the truths he was saying, so they labeled it hate and murdered him for it. They called him a fascist without any proof, then they acted like fascist themselves—demonstrating through their own actions what a fascist really is—all in the name of completely (and ironically) misnamed “anti-fascism”. To be as clear as I can: so-called antifascism is marxist fascism sold with lies, and it’s violent and dangerous and evil, and we cannot tolerate it as a civil society, no matter your political affiliations or religious beliefs. Unfortunately and sadly, this isn’t a small fringe group; it’s becoming more and more mainstream within the Democrat party.

Jimmy Kimmel was not suspended for exercising free speech. First, “the Left” has no credibility when it comes to free speech complaints, after years of using cancel culture and so-called “fact checkers” to silence the free speech of Americans they disagreed with. They celebrated when Donald Trump was kicked off of social media. They cheered when Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox. They danced on Charlie Kirk’s grave. Because of this, the pathetic attempts to claim that their sudden concern for free speech is meaningful just falls completely flat. It’s meaningless. We don’t care what “the Left” thinks about it because their hypocrisy is waist deep on this topic. They have no credibility. Second, the facts don’t match the claim that Kimmel was fired as an attempt to silence him: he was fired for poor ratings and as a consequence for unapologetically spreading blatant and despicable misinformation about an important event, and various ABC affiliates around the country had had enough. The liberals are being both dishonest and hypocritical about this, which is par for the coarse and completely expected. It’s who they are and what they do.

Charlie Kirk was fired upon for what he said; Jimmy Kimmel was only fired, and actually not even that. It’s not the same thing, not even close. Trying to compare Kimmel to Kirk is intellectually dishonest at best, and probably much worse than that. Charlie Kirk is a Christian martyr; Kimmel was not a martyr at all, which we can know because he’s still alive. Kimmel can say whatever he wants on the platforms he has, and be with his family right now. Kimmel mocked a grieving family and nation. He faced a little pushback for it because it was gross, and then he refused to apologize for it. His suspension was simply a consequence of that and his low ratings.

Most sickening of all are the people on “the Left” now stating, “I am Jimmy Kimmel.” This is a mockery of those saying, “I am Charlie Kirk.” The reason people began to say “I am Charlie Kirk” is because he wasn’t some radical that the Democrats and the news media inaccurately portrayed him as. He was fairly moderate. He leaned more to the center than the far-right. While he was extraordinarily good and successful, he was otherwise quite ordinary. If they could kill Charlie for what he said, they could murder any one of us “on the Right” for what we say. If they could celebrate his death, they could celebrate ours. The attack on him was an attack on all of us. We are all Charlie Kirk. Those saying “I am Jimmy Kimmel” are saying what exactly? It’s meant to mock us—to minimize and ridicule us. What they don’t understand is that what they’re actually saying is: we can all face consequences for our disgusting rhetoric. Yes you can, yes you should, and I hope you do. They didn’t consider the logic of their words, but they did expose their dark hearts. They are indeed Jimmy Kimmel.

  • They’re lying about Charlie Kirk. They’re defaming him. They’re smearing him, and he can’t even defend himself because they murdered him. They did this leading up to his murder, and they’re continuing to do this post-murder. There is no doubt whatsoever that these lies were a major contributing factor to his death. These lies are not just morally wrong, they are dangerous. The people speaking them and spreading them need to be held accountable before someone else gets murdered.

They labelled Kirk a fascist even though he was very pro-freedom. They labelled him homophobic even though he gave a platform for gay conservatives (much to the dismay of some “on the Right”). They labelled him a racist even though he was an advocate for the black community in several ways. Everything they labelled him, Charlie Kirk was the opposite.

They said (and continue to say) that he was hateful, even though he was very loving, probably more so than most. Why would they say that? In our current society—but it’s especially rampant “on the Left”—truth is hateful, and lie is loving. Quite obviously that’s not true, and it’s from the devil. Jesus is Truth. Jesus is God. God is Love. Thus, truth is love; lies are cruel and evil.

Let’s say you had spinach in your teeth after a meal. If your friend kindly pointed it out, that would be an act of charity (love), so that you wouldn’t embarrass yourself later in front of a larger group. Not telling you about it would be mean. If you notice your friend has a drinking problem, the loving thing would be to politely point it out to him privately, and encourage him to seek help. The cruel thing is to do nothing and watch your friend get worse and worse over time.

Charlie spoke the truth, but people have confused lie for truth and truth for lie. An example is transgenderism. Stating that there are only two genders—male and female—is the truth. You either have XY chromosomes or XX chromosomes, which determine your gender. You are either a guy or a gal. There are very rare cases of genetic malformation, but as it’s been said, no one can get themselves pregnant. There is also gender confusion, which is fanned by a lack of clarity in our modern society. At the core, though, there is one truth: God created two genders: male and female, and that’s all there is (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 5:2). You cannot change your gender no matter how many chemicals you take and surgeries you have. No matter how much someone tries, and no matter how much they pretend, it’s just not possible to change genders.

That truth is considered hateful by “the Left” today. Right now, someone is calling Charlie Kirk—even after his assassination—hateful because of this. Someone will probably call me hateful for writing this. The two-gender truth was universally accepted worldwide as settled science since the beginning of mankind. It was not controversial in the slightest just 10 years ago, and both “the Right” and “the Left” were in agreement. No breakthrough scientific discoveries were made to change our understanding of this. So what gives? Why is it now hateful and controversial?

The transgender movement was not a major concern of “the Right” at first. Christians would call it a sin—which it clearly is—but overall there was a libertarian live-and-let-live attitude by most conservatives towards it. But it became a major issue for three reasons. First, there was an attempt to force those who disagreed with the delusion into partaking in it. For instance, you had to use one’s “preferred pronouns” no matter how nonsensical and anti-grammatical they were, and if you didn’t, you were likely to get “cancelled” by cancel culture. You had to affirm that a male was a female and even allow him to use the woman’s bathroom and compete in girl’s volleyball. It’s one thing to be crazy, but another altogether to force others to join you in it. Second, they involved children. Of course they were inevitably going to, and we should have seen that coming. The destructive chemicals and body mutilations are nothing short of abhorrent. Add to that drag queen story hour at the local library, and it’s clear that children were a major target—and victims—of this sick movement. If we can’t stand up to protect our children, then we are pathetic excuses for adults; we are not men, we are cowards. Third, the transgender movement turned violent, with little innocent children getting shot up in their Christian schools, and even Charlie Kirk assassinated in front of children, including his own. These three things have elevated this issue to the very forefront of our society, and the future of our nation hangs in the balance over this. That’s why Charlie spoke about it, and why they resorted to murder to silence dissent.

Truth is love, and not hate. Lies are not love, but cruelty. It’s important for us to speak the truth, and not tolerate dishonesty. The news media, which is supposed to be trustworthy, is lying each day. The major television channels are defaming Charlie Kirk, as are many Democrat politicians. There are even some church pastors doing this. It’s sick and evil. We must speak the truth, and expose the lies. That’s one aspect of loving our family, friends, neighbors and country. But we must do so with grace, kindness and civility. We must be doers of good deeds, and not just talkers. Right now is the time for both. It’s time for those who speak lies to be held accountable. It’s time to pray for justice. It’s time to pray for grace.
